Zeitgeist – this simple yet all-encompassing term can be used to describe the art that Maximilian creates.

He processes impressions of our time through his eyes – politically and socially critical, but also personally and emotionally. His craftsmanship combines modern painting with tactile stylistic devices. Shrill accents and abstract elements complete his works. From the very beginning, Maximilian has documented his work using modern media, inspiring audiences with the special proximity during the creation of his art. His community is present when new art is created, both when it is discarded and when he completes a work.

Art has long been a part of Maximilian's family. His grandfather was a landscape painter. His father exhibited his relief collages in Los Angeles and Paris. Out of pride for his family's art history, Maximilian seals his works with the family crest.

Maximilian, the 5th generation, wears the signet ring from 1851.
